The Beaumont Society Confidentiality Policy

The Beaumont Society operates a confidentiality policy in conjunction with a GDPR policy. Staff and members should abide by the confidentiality policy. We request that others who attend our events and interact with the group also comply.

Staff, members and others should not disclose details of any other person who has participated in the group unless they have the express permission of that person(s) to do so.

The disclosure includes any information that may identify an individual (including names, descriptions, personal information and photographs).

Disclosure includes involvement in the group, attendance at an event, and personal information shared in person, by writing, by telephone, or social media.

Disclosure excludes information freely available in the public domain (such as published within the Beaumont Society magazine or on public sections of the website).

The disclosure of information excludes circumstances with a legal obligation to do so or to protect life or property. In these instances, the disclosure should only be made to the appropriate authorities and to the degree necessary to fulfil these obligations.
